Abstract

This article investigates theradiation effects on the steady MHD boundary layer stagnation-point flow of a micropolar fluid towards a horizontal linearly stretching sheet in the presence of nanoparticles. A mathematical model is developed to study the heat transfer characteristics occurring during the melting process due to a stretching sheet.Suitable similarity transformations are employed to reduce thegoverning partial differential equations into the system of ordinary differential equations. The transformed non-linear ordinary differential equations governing the flow are solved numerically by the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg-45 method with Shootingtechnique. Results for the velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are presented graphically for different values of the pertinent parameters.
